Inner north-west positively positioned for future growth

Domain’s senior research analysist, Nicola Powell spoke to The Age offering insight on Melbourne’s property market. Although there have been price drops within the inner-east region, the north-west’s prices have risen by 3.1% over the last three months and is 6.8% higher than a year ago.

Consultancy giant PwC Australia’s CityPulse report shines light on the most liveable suburbs of Melbourne and places Moonee Ponds in a strong position for future growth. Moonee Ponds has been rated 5th in the top ten most liveable suburbs in Melbourne, surpassing sought after postcodes such
as Northcote, Malvern, Glen Iris and Prahran.

The CityPulse liveability score takes into account commuting distances, access to amenities and health services, crime rates and housing affordability.
New ways of working have been accelerated by COVID-19 and has shifted suburb appeal to areas with fulfilling social and lifestyle factors.
