Dragging yourself out of bed on a Saturday morning to get active is never easy, but it always helps if you’ve got a great group of people to do it with.
Held on Saturday mornings on the picturesque front lawn of the Moonee Valley Racecourse, Fitness at The Valley invites local residents and MVRC club members to get moving with expert fitness professionals, providing a mix of group fitness and mat workouts. There’s also plenty of chatting, laughter and high fives, all whilst working up a healthy sweat.
These free Fitness at The Valley sessions aim to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness throughout the local community, inviting locals to enjoy the Moonee Valley Racetrack which will increasingly become the core of the local community as the vision for Moonee Valley Park comes to life.
“Community is key and we want to create opportunities for people to get to know one another, and focus on personal wellness”, said Rozalee Erceg, General Manager of The Valley.
You don’t have to be an ultra-athlete or own the latest kicks. Fitness at The Valley is all about getting outside in the fresh air, having fun, a few laughs and moving your body, while taking in the spectacular location that is the Moonee Valley Racetrack. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to join!
After your workout, you can grab a coffee at Little Hen café located within the Moonee Valley Park display gallery, open Saturdays and Sundays 8am-3pm.
Fitness at The Valley kicked off in summer 2019 and will happen again during Spring 2020, stay tuned for further updates.
